Self-healing content

Turn on self-healing so Ottoclip can fix steps broken by a renamed or moved button.

Steps

  1. Your product changes every sprint. When a small change, like a renamed or moved button, breaks a step, self-healing can fix your content script. Turn it on from your company settings. Screenshot
  2. When you record, Ottoclip saves each element's text, attributes, and position on the page. With automatic fixing on, it uses those to find the element again after it changes. Screenshot
  3. Then generate as usual from the Scripts page. Screenshot
  4. If an element has changed, Ottoclip finds it and updates the script. The fix waits in the Needs attention list, and no new video is saved until you review it and generate again. Screenshot
  5. Self-healing covers elements your recording already captured. If an element is gone or a release adds a new step, Ottoclip stops at that step, and its Fix script button opens the script builder right there. Screenshot
