Ottoclip Guide / Feature Highlights

Interactive video

Watch a narrated video, then pause and click through any step.

Steps

  1. Videos are easy to watch but hard to follow along with. Ottoclip plays your narrated video and your interactive demo in one player, which we call an interactive video. Screenshot
  2. Press play, and it runs like any other video, with voiceover and highlights on each step. Screenshot
  3. But a viewer who needs to do the task alongside a video ends up pausing and rewinding to find each step. Screenshot
  4. When you reach a section that you want to follow more closely, you can pause the video and interact with it as an interactive demo. Screenshot
  5. Now the viewer moves one step at a time and clicks to go on when they're ready. Screenshot
  6. Callouts are automatically positioned on interactive elements for each step, highlighting exactly what to look at. Screenshot
  7. You can navigate back and forth between steps easily, including using the left and right arrow keys on your keyboard. There is no need to constantly pause and rewind the video or guess where each step begins and ends. Screenshot
  8. When they're done with that part, pressing play goes back to watching the video. Screenshot
  9. One player gives viewers both ways to learn, and you don't build or maintain a separate video and demo. Open any content script you've generated and press play to try it. Screenshot
