Ottoclip Guide / Feature Highlights

In-app walkthrough

Guide your users through a task inside your live product.

Steps

  1. Your users shouldn't have to switch between your app and a help article to finish a task. An in-app walkthrough guides them through it inside your product. It runs in the Ottoclip browser extension, so viewers need it installed. Screenshot
  2. Viewers start one by clicking "Walkthrough" on the content script page. Screenshot
  3. It opens your product in a new tab, with a checklist of the steps beside it. Screenshot
  4. The checklist updates as each step is done, so viewers always know how far along they are. Screenshot
  5. Each step is narrated and highlighted on the live page.
  6. The viewer clicks the real control in your product, not a picture of it. Screenshot
  7. Fields to fill out and settings to choose are highlighted the same way. Screenshot
  8. You never anchor a walkthrough step by hand. The walkthrough comes from the same recording as your video and demo, so it updates when you regenerate. Screenshot
  9. Use in-app walkthroughs for onboarding, training, and feature adoption, wherever help belongs right next to the task. To try one, open a generated content script and choose "Walkthrough". Screenshot
